Blackbird Stitches album has been mixed by Oz Fritz. In other news Texas Prog trio "Bojones" just got a deal. Paul is not only a huge fan, but he tracked their first record. Paul's been tracking Shawna Anderson's new record, featuring a plethora of great northern California musicians including "maestro" Mike Emerson on piano and B3.

Grammy Award winner Oz Fritz has mixed Blackbird Stitches' new CD "Gossomer Grove." Paul tracked and produced the album, as well as playing bass, and mellotron. The album will be mastered next month. Paul has started a new band called "Jaded to the Core." The working title of the new album is "the eminent overthrow of all honkeys." Clips of this high energy trio will be up soon.

Eclipsed Magazine is featuring "Tears of the Lyhesis" on their best of 2006 sampler CD. "Tears of the Lyhesis" originally appeared on the Psychedelic Avenger latest CD Paul recorded the song with a band formerly called Freaknob. In fact there is another band called freaknob, so henceforth they will be known as" the Band formerly known as Freaknob." The track features Josh Yenne on guitar and Skip Urmson on drums from the Northern California band Plum Crazy.

In other news, Paul considers it to have been an "honor" to have recently contributed mixes on German legend Achim Reichel's newest CD. Achim, an original member of the Rattles, and a pioneer of the Krautrock scene in the 70's and has remained a vital artist to this day. Brian Eno considered Achim the inspiration for Eno's classic "Another Green World."

Paul recently mixed a couple of reggae records. "Dub Guerilla" featuring Tom BeneKe from Jazzkantine has received some great reviews. The other record hasn't been released but keep your eyes out for "Whoopee Tayoh."

Paul in the process of producing tracks for Tönhotel from last fall's Hamburg tracking sessions. Here's a preview.

Next month, Kirana and Paul will be mixing the new Black Bird Stiches album with Oz fritz (Tom Waits, Elvin Jones, Sonny Sharrock, William S. Burroughs)
